Melissa LockeSpecialist Paediatric Physiotherapist (as awarded by the ACP - November 08)
Melissa (FACP - Paediatrics) - created Movement Solutions Physiotherapy in 1994 in a small office on Wickham Terrace. She is thrilled with how the practice has grown to service over 10000 children in the South East Corner of Queensland and beyond. Melissa is passionate about best practice and family centred care that is goal oriented and outcome based. Melissa spends her spare time reading, cooking and going to the movies. She has two children Toby and Brontë, with whom she loves to spend time. Travelling is something she wants to do more of - both in Australia and overseas.
Nick (D. Phty) first worked at Movement Solutions as a student undertaking his paediatric clinical placement from Bond University. Upon graduating Nick started working with Melissa and the team part time, whilst developing his musculoskeletal skills in adult private practice and hospital settings. In 2016, Nick bought into the practice and brought his wealth of knowledge to the Coorparoo and Parkwood clinics. Nick doesn’t have much spare time but he loves playing soccer and surfing, as well as heading home to 1770 as often as he can.
Jane (B. Phty) is a longtime fixture at Movement and wins the award for working at the most locations and never complaining about it! Jane visits Albany Creek and Parkwood, but spends most of the week at Coorparoo. Jane has real interests in treating young people with pervasive developmental disorders and also enjoys treating our kids with sporting injuries. Jane has twin teenage boys who are excellent cricketers. Weekends are full of cricket and family activities for Jane.
Dace JohnsonAPA Paediatric Physiotherapist
Dace (M.Phty) has been a valuable member of the team since 1999. Dace has wide experience in paediatrics and is currently undertaking the Specialist Training Programme - Paediatrics with the Australian College of Physiotherapists. Dace is our second opinion and medico-legal guru and works at Coorparoo and Highgate Hill. Dace loves to garden and keeps fit by running. She enjoys spending time with her family.
Amy (M.Phty/B.ExSc) graduated from Griffith University in 2014 and started working at Coorparoo. Amy has grown the after school gym, yoga classes and has been the face of the our high needs exercise sessions on a Saturday morning. The parents and bubs class has been her “baby” and is extremely popular on Friday mornings. Amy is spreading her wings and now visits our satellite clinic at Sherwood, where she sees mother’s and babies, as well as children and teens. With her exercise science background she is working with adults patients to assist them manage their diabetes, osteoporosis, back pain and arthritis. Amy loves food and cooking, and often spends her weekends on the bay with family and friends. She has a cute little dog named Bear, who has stolen a big corner of her heart!
Mitch (M.Phty/B.ExSc) joined Movement in 2017 and can be found in the Coorparoo rooms Monday and Tuesday afternoons. Mitch works in adult private practice Bayside but has wanted to treat children and babies for a while. We are so glad he decided to do that and he has quickly become a welcome fixture treating children, teens and adults. Mitch loves to travel and is into a bit of home renovating. He is very smitten with the two girls in his life: his wife and daughter.

Cath (B.App Sc (Phty); PostGradDip: Exercise and Women's Health) is Movement Solutions Women’s Health Physiotherapist. She has a variety of hospital and private practice experience and has worked in women’s health exclusively for 13 years. She sees patients with Pregnancy related pelvic Girdle pain, Bladder control or Constipation, post-natal urinary incontinence, abdominal muscle separation, mastitis, post-natal return to exercise requirements, pelvic organ prolapse and pelvic floor rehab for gynae surgery requirements. Cath visits Coorparoo, Sherwood and Highgate Hill. She loves travelling and spending time with her husband and two daughters. ....
Litsa AngeliPractice Manager
Litsa has been the face of Movement Solutions for over 14 years. She is our practice manager and the go to person for practical advice on almost anything physiotherapy and disability. Parents love her warmth, caring nature, organised personality and efficiency. So do Nick, Melissa and the staff! Litsa can be found at the desk at Coorparoo Mondays - Thursdays. Litsa loves spending time with friends and family. Travelling is another passion.
Coralie GreenSenior Administrative Officer
Coralie is a great addition to the Movement Team, having come on board in 2016 and making her presence well and truly felt! Coralie is our administrative officer and receptionist at Coorparoo. She keeps the place ship shape and her friendliness and sense of humour is appreciated by staff and patients. Coralie loves to sing, cook and travel. She is Movement’s social convenor and official birthday cake maker!
Bronwyn DarbySenior Administrative Officer
Bronwyn is our newest administrative staff member. Bron runs our Gold Coast clinic and we are thrilled to have her as part of the team. She has had a long association as a parent visiting Movement Solutions, and jumped at the chance to be on the other side of the desk. She is kind, efficient and caring and has a great sense of humour. She also understands the journey many of our families travel. Bron is really enjoying exercising and running in her leisure time. She loves spending time with family and friends.
Richelle HolgateAccounts Manager
Richelle pays the bills and looks after all our equipment funding applications. She is a fountain of knowledge navigating the disability sector. Richelle works part time and when not at Movement is kept busy looking after her family. She loves a laugh and wants to travel more.
